"After twenty successful years, the open-air Trnavský Jazzyk festival has firmly established itself among the premier events of Trnava's vibrant cultural summer. Held in Slovakia's oldest royal town, its high-quality programming has rightfully earned it a place among the most significant jazz festivals in the country. Just as every language has its dialects, jazz too boasts a myriad of diverse forms. The festival offers visitors a broad spectrum of genres, from classic mainstream through fusion, funk, soul, and world music to contemporary jazz. It's precisely this genre diversity that infuses the city with an extraordinary musical energy, reflecting Trnava's long-standing commitment to fostering a rich variety of events.
The festival is organised by the City of Trnava with financial support from The Courtyard (Nádvorie), and the Self-Governing Trnava Region. The Slovak Arts Council also supports the festival from public funds. Our collective aim is to bring an attractive programme to all our visitors. Thanks to this support, the majority of the festival is free to attend. We believe that Trnava is, and will continue to be, a city that sets an example for Slovakia in its approach to culture and in the power of joining forces.”
